Sandastre Lodge is aiming to improve the Limousin breed for both the commerial and stud breeders here in Australia and overseas.

We've built an elite herd of females derived from the most predictable and functional cow families in the breed.

Passage of time, the success of many different breeding programs and the show and sale ring have identified superior females within these cow families. Our quest has been to identify these females to become donors for our embryo import production.

The criteria for donor sires are the same - industry leading bulls derived from outstanding dams.

The availability of qualified semen and restrictions due to ownership are obvious barriers together with high demand for production from these superior females make the resultant progeny born in Australia even more unique and valuable to our gene pool.

Our program has the resolve to continue in our search for elite limousin genetics in the coming years.
